Kristi Davar, CSDPA Director



Kristi's impressive career includes numerous television and stage performances. She has also been a dance instructor and choreographer for over twenty five years. Kristi received extensive training in Los Angeles with teachers such as Joe Tremaine, Dean Barlow and John Zerbie.On tour, as a featured dancer and choreographer with the "Dancin' Machine", Kristi appeared in the opening acts for Tom Jones, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. Kristi and her group also appeared on television specials such as the Grammy Awards, Rock Music Awards, and numerous other variety shows, including weekly appearances on the Midnight Special with The Jackson Five.

Kristi has been the choreographer for Mission Viejo High School's musicals for the past fifteen years. Her credits include, Singing In The Rain, West Side Story, Sweet Charity, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Guys and Dolls, Grease, Kiss Me Kate, Anything Goes, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Les Miserable, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Crazy for You, and Fiddler on the Roof.

In 2009, Kristi won Best Choreography at the JRAY awards for Singing in the Rain. Kristi won best choreography twice at the M.A.C.Y (Music and Arts Commendation for the Youth) for her choreography in Crazy For You at Tesoro High School in 2009 and at Mission Viejo High School in 2012. Several musicals choreographed by Kristi and many of her students have received numerous M.A.C.Y, CAPPIE, and JRAY awards. Several of Kristi’s students are now pursuing musical theater careers in New York City, including her daughter Desiree’.

Kristi’s devotion and love for teaching is reflected in her students. She has had a following of students from all over Orange County for the past 25 years. She opened Center Stage Dance and Performing Arts in October of 2005.
