Lauren K. Anderson grew up in prominent ballet studios, training in multiple styles including pointe, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop. She traveled the U.S. to compete in dance, winning numerous state and national championship titles including “American Grand National Soloist Champion” and “American All-Star National Soloist Champion.” At age 16 Lauren was recruited and represented by Dorothy Day Otis Talent Agency based in Los Angeles and continued her training under top choreographers in the industry. She danced professionally for a Southern California sports team and spent three years competing at the national collegiate level. She has done print work for brands such as Tilly’s and the National Dance Alliance, as well as representing various companies as a spokes-model. Lauren has been a coach and choreographer for many nationally ranked high school and all-star dance programs in Southern California, most notably teaching for seven years at Corona del Mar High School where she instructed both the song program and their renowned dance program “Orchesis.” In addition to her work being featured on television, Lauren's choreography is consistently recognized with esteemed judges’ awards at dance competitions each year. In 2015 she had the honor of being a two-time “Industry Dance Awards” nominee. Since 2009 she has been an instructor at Center Stage Dance and Performing Arts, teaching various styles and coaching and choreographing for the elite competitive teams and soloists. Along with teaching, Lauren is a professional adjudicator for regional, national and international dance competitions such as U.S. Spiritleaders and the Miss Dance USA pageant. She continues to add to her professional experience as a talent member of "AMAX Entertainment" working and performing at exclusive events all over Southern California. In 2015 she became a Pilates Instructor, receiving classical training from the Body Arts & Science International Pilates Academy, with additional Dance Specialization course work under Professor Karen Clippinger from California State University Long Beach. Lauren is very proud to be an Academic Dance and Pilates teacher at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts, one of the leading art schools for middle schoolers and high schoolers in the nation. She is currently back in school pursuing her degree in kinesiology, and is an active member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science, with goals to further her knowledge of biomechanics for dance research. Lauren and her husband Collin have two wonderful daughters Brooklyn and Jacklyn who have been dancing alongside their mom at Center Stage for the last four years!
