Vicki Ortega

Vicki Ortega began dancing at the age of 5 studying ballet, tap and jazz at various studios in the Orange County area. She highlighted her high school years becoming spotlighted on the Fountain Valley High School Dance Team where was captain. Vicki received a dance scholarship to study dance at Point Park College during the summer of her Junior year. During her high school years, Vicki successfully competed in numerous dance competitions and has taken many titles. She then went on to attend Chapman University on a Dance scholarship. While attending Chapman University, Vicki was also studying dance at many of LA's top studios including The Edge and Joe Tremaine. Her love of dance encouraged her to share her passion with others and she began teaching at many studios in Southern California. Vicki coached and choreographed Valencia High school's competitive dance team and led them to new heights where they received an invitation to, and placed in, a national competition in Japan. Vicki continued with her coaching and choreographing experience as she helped lead Santa Margarita's dance team to many victories. Vicki received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Movement and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Dance from Chapman University in 1991. She then went on to complete and receive a secondary teaching credential. Since then, Vicki has married and is raising three wonderful children with her husband Russ. She was so excited to return to her passion and be doing what she enjoys most (next to spending time with her family), sharing her passion for dance with the students at Center Stage Dance. Vicki teaches lyrical, jazz, jazz/hip hop, ballet, and technique. She also coaches three competitive teams and serves as Dance Team Director.
