Studio Policies

  • Class Placement—Classes are based on both age and ability. During the year, students may be transferred to other classes if necessary and in the best interest of the student. Many factors are considered in determining placement. We place students into levels based on ability, attitude, consistency in work, musicality, and physical and emotional readiness.
  • Class Size—Class size is generally limited to 15—20 students, although some classes may be smaller or larger based on the instructor’s preference. If a class has reached capacity, a waiting list will be started. It is the parent’s responsibility to notify the studio if their child wishes to drop out of their classes, so that students on the waiting list can be added.
  • Lobby Etiquette—Observing your child’s class from the lobby area is a privilege. We feel it’s important for parents to see their child’s work in progress. Please try not to distract your child or the class. Do not allow conversations in the lobby to get too loud. Also, please do not allow siblings to knock on the windows or doors. If it is necessary for you to bring a young child (or children) with you in the lobby while waiting for your child, you must keep that child with you at all times.
  • Be on time and dressed in appropriate dance attire.
  • Do not leave valuables unattended. Center Stage cannot be held responsible for any loss of property.
