Desireé Davar started dancing with her mother Kristi at the age of 4. She has been training in the areas of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical and Hip-Hop ever since. At Mission Viejo High School she performed in such musicals as West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors and Sweet Charity. For her role as Charity she received Best Actress at the M.A.C.Y. Awards. During high school she attended Broadway Theatre Project, and worked with such legends as Gwen Verdon, Ann Reinking, Gregory Hines, and Julie Andrews. In NYC, Desiree’ attended and subsequently taught at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She appeared in Broadway Bares as a featured dancer (Roseland Ballroom, NYC) and the opening number of the Easter Bonnet Competiton for Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids (Minskoff Theatre NYC), where she shared the stage with Liza Minnelli! More credits include; Half A Sixpence (Edith) at Goodspeed Opera House, Kiss Me, Kate (Ensemble-Lois u/s) at Paper Mill Playhouse, and Evita (Ensemble-Eva u/s) at Maltz-Jupiter Theatre. NYC: Opening Doors (ODTC): Flora, The Red Menace (Flora), and It's a Bird! It’s A Plane! It's Superman! Regional: Fireside Theatre: Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gloria-Millie u/s), Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), Arts Center Coastal Carolina: Fiddler on the Roof (Chava). Film: Not Another Teen Movie, The Brave One, Enchanted, and Annie coming to theaters in December, 2014. TV: Glee, 30 Rock, CSI:NY. Desiree’ appeared in the revival of Can, Can at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Can Can will move to Broadway in 2015! Desiree’ also played the role of Anita on Broadway as well as in the 2009 – 2010 world tour of West Side Story and Velma in Chicago in Seattle, WA.. She is a proud member of Screen Actors Guild and Actor’s Equity Association.
